Red drum bite has been great this past week catching 6-10 red fish per charter,anlong with some large speckle trout. the young anglers have really enjoyed themselves catching these Cape Fear River Red Fish !

I fished this past week at the 30 mile range found dolphin biting well on a weed line,bait used skirted ballyhoo,had multiple hook ups !

Flounder Fishing

Flounder fishing is heating up in the Carolina Beach area with the arrrival of warmer water tempertures,bait is becoming more plentiful,try fishing menhaden on Carolina Rig on falling tide.

I fished about 3 hours yesterday afternoon right close by the house in a creek just off the Cape Fear River. Fish caught were speckle trout,black drum, croakers, and several catfish!Really nice afternoon.

Whiting or Virginia Mullet up the Cape Fear River near Southport

I fished Thursday on an inshore charter found the Virginia mullet up the Cape Fear River near Southport. The bite will be improving for the next couple of weeks.

I am open to fish all of next week, Virginia mullet have showed up in the Cape Fear river.

Also: I am going to offer a special rate, this year for one angler charters on the Pathfinder Bay boat, I want to keep this boat fishing everyday this season! You will experience, some of the best live bait fishing this area, has to offer! Light tackle live bait spinning gear, target species will be trout, red fish, flounder, near-shore fishing will include kings, spanish, dolphin, on the days we can fish outside.
