Offshore the wind let up for a few hours to get a report. Large black bass and some flounder are being caught. This was about 20 miles offshore. In the last few days the surf temperature has risen to 51 degrees.
The trout bite is about the same.
The beach renourishment project has caused trout fishermen to shop around more on the surf which has paid off. In the waterways and basin some bigger trout than last week and some drum are being caught. Let’s hope the weather will stay out of the low 30’s for the next few weeks. This week’s pictures are past and present.
Keep fishing and stay safe.
