  • Fishing Report 6-29-2009 Live Bait - Posted to LiveLine Charters Fishing Report by CCCB Press
  • Had a group of guys in town from Pittsburgh, Pa. and it was their 1st time deep sea fishing. The weather was OK with a SW swell. Left the dock with 2 live wells full of pogies. Started around 10 miles and had great action on small kings and a couple of teenagers. After everyone had warmed up with the kings we headed off shore for a work out. The guys were not disappointed and caught plenty of AJs. They were holding close to the wrecks so we lost a lot of fish. Once again a nice bonus with.. (Read More)

  • Seahawk Inshore Fishing Report 6/30/09 Red Drum + Flounder + Speckled Trout = Carolina Inshore Slam - Posted to Seahawk Charters Fishing Report by CCCB Press
  • The inshore fishing has been good lately with catches of red drum, speckled trout, flounder, sheephead, bluefish, and spanish mackerel. The redfish bite has been solid with most of the fish around the 26 to 27 inch mark. Sightcasting to these fish in a foot of water is some of the funnest fishing you can do inshore. We have been catching the reds by sightcasting and blindcasting artificials. We are also fishing live baits on float rigs and carolina rigs around the marsh edges and shelly bottoms in the creeks and bays of the lower Cape Fear river. We have been catching.. (Read More)

  • Topsail & Surf City Outdoors-Fishing Report 6-22-09 - Posted to Headhunter Outdoors Report by CCCB Press
  • Hi folks, Capt. David with this weeks fishing report. If it swims it’s biting folks! The sound has plenty of Redfish that are more than willing to bite and the Flounder are in as well. A lot of the Flounder are on the small side but some keepers are around. The Reds are scattered all along the waterway flats and back up in the marsh creeks and will knock a topwater bait out of the water. Cut bait or live bait will work too. The surf is happening too. Pompano, Red and Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead around the pier pilings,.. (Read More)

  • Cobia, Mahi, AJ’s, Kings, Citation Flounder, its all HERE! - Posted to Reel-Adventure Charters Fishing Report by Capt. Matt Wirt
  • WOW!!! is the only word to describe the fishing between this report and the last one. The last report was hard to beat and this report will do just that……with ease! Offshore: The king mackerel, cobia and mahi are biting well on the live menhaden that seem to be everywhere! The amberjack bite has slowed a bit. This might be a good thing because I dont know how much more amberjack my reel drags could take! Inshore: The redfish are biting well around the docks and these are upper and over slot fish. These fish are nailing the huge live menhaden.. (Read More)

  • Hot Fishing Around Wrightsville Beach - Posted to Rod-Man Charters Fishing Report by CCCB Press
  • Hi Folks, Fishing has been good to excellent WHEN THE WIND HASN’T BLOWN. There have been few of those calm days, but hopefully that will change and we can get into a good rhythm. Now here’s my report: Inshore: Water temps have risen to around 70 and the spring weed is just about gone. Live baits are showing up. All this means it’s time for the reds and flounder to turn on and that is what is happening inshore right now. Best bait is live menhaden fished on a carolina rig. Near Shore: Near shore fishing.. • Winter Fishing - Posted to Cape Fear Coastal Charters Fishing Report by CCCB Press
  • The beautiful thing about the Carolina coast, is that there is always a fish that you can catch. Right now, it is grouper time. Along with Grouper, there are snapper, Black Sea Bass, and Grunts to be caught. IF you find the fish it can be non-stop action all day. The best thing about it is that all of those fish also make great table fare. The Striped Bass are also biting well this time of the year, and they can provide a fun, hard fight. Book your summer trips now, and gurantee your spot. Capt. Owen Cape Fear.. (Read More)

  • Trophy Size Tuna & Wahoo In The Gulf Stream - Posted to Seagull Bait and Tackle Fishing Report by CCCB Press
  • It’s time for Spanish Mackerel and I’m here to tell you there are plenty out there. The piers are getting their share of Spanish. The size is still a little small. The biggest I have heard of was around one and a half pounds. Five to ten miles out there are plenty of mid-size King Mackerel around the fifteen-pound range. On the bottom, Black Bass and Snapper are really starting to bite. If you run to the Gulf Stream, well, that’s another story. Plenty of Tuna and Wahoo and some are trophy size. The surf has been producing some.. (Read More)
